I completed my undergraduate studies at Cornell University in 1993 then attended Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine for a DVM. Following a rotating internship at the Animal Medical Center in NYC, I returned to Tufts University for a residency in small animal emergency and critical care then joined the faculty where I have been since 2000. At the Cummings School I serve as Associate Medical Director and section head of the emergency room, and together with 5 other faculty manage a large training program in emergency and critical care. My major areas of interest include hypercoagulability and thrombotic complications of disease, anticoagulation, sepsis and trauma.
