Description

In this segment, Dr. Chiaramonte discusses the approach to clinically evaluating dogs suspected of having intervertebral disc disease - from a non-neurologist's perspective. The focus is on chondrodystrophoid dogs such as Dachshunds (and others) that commonly develop Type 1 IVDD (extrusion of disc material). Discussion includes a review of the elements of the clinical examination and grading the severity of disease, components of the neurologic exam (including video demonstrations) and interpretation of findings, additional imaging modalities, and what the future may hold for providing a prognosis for affected patients.

Live webinar participants rated this 4.1 / 5 stars!
