August 2002 marked the beginning of his academic association with TAMU when, on his day off, he traveled there to lecture and perform dental surgeries as an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Veterinary Dentistry. After being invited to join the faculty at the College of Veterinary Medicine in 2005, he sold his practice and began working full-time at the college in March 2006 as a Clinical Associate Professor of Veterinary Dentistry.
