Description

Nala is taking medication prescribed a week ago. Nala has a sudden onset of inappetance and lethargy and the owners rush her back to the hospital. As the history and medical clues unfold, the author discusses a diagnosis and medical treatment that can be applied in any veterinary practice. As the student progresses through the course, examination critical thinking questions will be asked. An explanation of the correct or incorrect answer choice is presented to lead the participant into a deeper understanding of Nala's condition and treatment.

CSI: Nala the Icteric Cocker Spaniel is a Case Study Investigation that leads the participant from Nala's hospital admission to treatment, discharge and follow-up. The goal of this case study based course is to bring awareness to the treatment for a sudden onset of icterus while discovering there can be underlying conditions contributing to the medical emergency.
