At the completion of this activity, the pharmacist and technician will be able to:
 Recognize suicide’s impact in communities
 Describe pharmacy professional s role in suicide prevention
 Education all patients to make home safer
 Prevent suicide professionally and personally using the LEARN steps
This 3‐hour comprehensive training will provide pharmacists with tools to identify people at risk of suicide and intervene to prevent suicide. Drs. Stuber and Singer will use their comprehensive knowledge of suicide and psychiatric illnesses to simplify suicide prevention into something every pharmacy professional can do. This training is intended to fulfil the 3‐hour training required of Washington State licensed pharmacists, but is applicable to all pharmacy professionals.

To Receive Credit:
You must watch the video and take the test at the end. You will need to get a score of at least 70% correct responses. If you do not achieve 70% or better, you will be allowed to take 3 retakes. If you pass with a 70%, you will receive a certificate and the CE will be uploaded to the CPE Monitor within a few days. You will need to make sure that your NABP e-Profile ID# and Date of birth are entered into your profile under the CPE Monitor Integration Details. If this information is not entered your CE can not be uploaded.

Dr. Jennifer Stuber, Dr. Brandy Singer, Dr. Jenny Arnold
on behalf of Washington State Pharmacy Association

Jenny Arnold is the Director of Practice Development for the Washington State Pharmacy Association. She received her PharmD from the University of Washington School of Pharmacy in 2006, and completed her Pharmacy Practice Residency the next year at Swedish Medical Center in Seattle, WA. Dr. Arnold is a Clinical Assistant Professor with the University of Washington School of Pharmacy. As the Director of Practice Development, she has helped pharmacists to meet the needs of their practices and community through continuing education, development of collaborative drug therapy agreements, and building links between patients, communities and pharmacists.
