Description

Alopecia affects men, woman and even pets. In the United States fewer then 45% of women and 53% of men go through life with a full head of hair. Loss of scalp hair can cause tremendous stress and self esteem challenges for those affected. Unfortunately, commercially available treatment options are few and and are not always effective for certain patient populations. Tom Wynn has been a pharmacist since 1994. He has worked as a compounding pharmacist for over 15 years. He has a degree Biology with a minor in chemistry form Northern Kentucky University. He completed his Bachelor of pharmacy from the University of Cincinnati. He worked as compounding pharmacist with experience in bio-identical hormone replacement, erectile dysfunction in men, wound care, veterinarian, and pain management compounding. He has eight case studies published in the International journal of Compounding pharmacist . Tom spent a year in research helping to run phase one studies for a research group based out of Cincinnati called CTI. While there he helped with protocol development, maintaining pharmacy procedures to ensure proper adherence to protocols, and overall help with study completetion. Tom is currently an adjunct professor at the University of Cincinnati. There he teaches a compounding elective. He works at Fagron Academy as a pharmacy consultant helping to provide guidance to clients on compounding formulation, research, and education.
