A comprehensive course on the potential for medical use of marijuana and other schedule 1 drugs. In this presentation we compare and contrast the evidence for and against the medical use of all substances discussed with special emphasis on marijuana

Objectives

Pharmacy Technician - At the conclusion of this session, the participant should be able to:

List the commonly used indications for medical marijuana

Discuss how medical marihuana is dosed.
Objective 3:
List the commonly encountered restrictions to the use of medical marijuana.
Objective 4:
Describe the rational used for promoting the recreational use of marijuana.
Objective 5:
Describe the abuse and addictive potential of all substances discussed.
Objective 6:
Discuss the scope of the abuse problem with all substances discussed.
Objective 7:
List the commonly encountered and potential serious adverse effects/ toxicities associated with all substances discussed
Objective 8
Describe the criteria use for determining where a drug is scheduled. 9.Describe the physiological and subjective effects of all substances discussed.
