Objectives

After completing this course, the clinician will be able to:
1. Identify the rates of incidence and essentials of diagnosis of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.
2. Discuss the issues and controversies in diagnosis of adult ADHD.
3. Describe the clinical essentials of differ- ential diagnosis of ADHD in adults and presentations of other disorders with similar core symptoms.
4. Identify medications (stimulants and non-stimulants) that may be used in phar- macological management of ADHD in the adult population.

Katz (M.D., Ph.D.), a full-time physician- lecturer for INR, is one of this country’s leading health educators, who combines a strict scientific approach with an open-minded and optimistic perspective. A graduate of the elite Piroghoff Medical School, Dr. Katz practiced as a board-certified physician in Europe, where he acquired a unique understanding of various ways to manage common neurological and psychological conditions. Dr. Katz is the author of more than 30 peer-reviewed publications, including numerous monographs on neurologic, psychosocial, and psychiatric conditions. He has completed fellowships in neuropathology, mathematical modeling of brain function (artificial intelligence), and the role of free radicals in health and disease.
