The purpose of this webinar is to support the integration of innovative strategies when teaching mental health concepts in nursing. Jennifer has worked for over seventeen years as a psychiatric nurse in many roles and has taught psychiatric nursing for LPN, Associate, Bachelor, and Master level students. She has been involved in nursing curriculum development for over five years and is involved with the continuing education committee for the Delaware Nurses Association. In 2013 she received the Excellence in Teaching Award from Delaware Technical Community College. She was nominated in 2014 for Delaware Today’s Top Nurse for Psychiatric/ Mental Health Nursing. In 2015 she was nominated for Delaware Today’s Top Nurse for Academic Nurse Educator and Psychiatric/ Mental Health Nurse. She is currently an Assistant Professor at the University of Delaware teaching undergraduate nursing students in the clinical and classroom settings about mental health nursing.
