Description

The author’s goal in this course is to take a commonly treated tooth, the mandibular second molar and help the reader develop a mental map of this anatomy, then show how he uses this mental map to treat a mandibular second molar.

Dr. Warren begins by explaining the importance of developing a mental picture of the anatomy being treated, then summarizes the steps for mapping the canal configuration and reviews the various kinds anatomy typically found in mandibular second molars, from the most simple to the most complex. The author explains C-shaped canals in detail and shares some of the latest research on the treatment of this complex anatomy.

Finally, Dr. Warren presents a clinical case of a mandibular second molar with a C-shaped pulp chamber and explains the treatment performed, from pre-operative radiographs through obturation.
