Description

Direct composites in the anterior dentition can provide the most conservative and affordable restorations for our patients, while maintaining a high level of aesthetics. Many practitioners have been frustrated and overwhelmed by the techniques, composite systems, color and instrument choices available today. In this program, we will explore and overcome some of the challenges that we face every day in our practices. Following an actual case that has been treated with class III-IV restorations and direct composite veneers in the anterior dentition, participants will learn about the characteristics of composites and color mapping. They will also learn and utilize a lingual putty technique that takes the guess work out of anatomical build-ups and helps make incisal characterization more predictable. Simplified instrumentation and techniques - from placement to finishing - the use of brushes for anterior composites mastery as well as fee considerations will be discussed.
