Description

This CE webinar will provide participants with detailed information that will facilitate efficient impression taking. Emphasis will be placed on understanding the critical nature of gingival anatomy and its impact on margination and impressions. Tissue manipulation techniques will be discussed that include both traditional cord and chemomechanical methods. Participants will gain an appreciation for how to evaluate and predict soft tissue response both during and after restorative procedures. Impression techniques and tray selection will be discussed.

Larry R. Holt, DDS is currently Director of Clinical Education and Research at Drake Precision Dental Laboratory where he leverages 30 years of clinical experience. Dr. Holt is an Adjunct Professor at UNC School of Dentistry, his alma mater, and a former Clinical Associate Professor at Medical College of Georgia. Dr. Holt has lectured extensively in the Southeastern US and internationally in India, England, Scotland and Peru where he is “Professor Visitante” at La Universidad Catolica de Santa Maria, Arequipa, Peru. He is currently on the editorial board for Functional Esthetics & Restorative Dentistry, and is a member of the ADA, AGD, NC Dental Society, Seattle Study Club, and is past president of the Forum for Contemporary Esthetic Dentistry.
