Description

Over the years, there has been increasing popularity of all porcelain crowns as compared to conventional all metal and porcelain fused to metal crowns. These advances in technology and material sciences, now gives the practitioner and patient several choices in crown and bridge restorations. One of these is CAD/CAM. Upon completion of this CE webinar the student will have • reviewed the fundamentals of tooth preparation for crowns • evaluate the integrity of marginal fit for these restorations by reviewing crown margin finish line designs

Dr. Scott Nakamura

Dr. Scott Nakamura is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, School of Dental Medicine, and did his Periodontal and Periodontal-Prosthetic training also at the University of Pennsylvania. He was a full-time member of the faculty at the University of Pennsylvania, working in the Faculty Clinic and doing both clinical and didactic teaching. Also while at Penn he served as Clinical Assistant Professor and Clinical Group Leader in the Department of Preventative and Restorative Sciences. He is currently in private practice in Media, PA and also serves as part-time Clinical Associate Professor in the Advanced Education in General Dentistry program at the Maurice Kornberg School of Dentistry at Temple University. He currently serves as Chairman of the Advisory Board for the dental assisting program at the Delaware County Technical School. He is the author of several articles in medicine and dentistry and brings 20 years of clinical, practical, and teaching experience in implants and advanced restorative dentistry. In 2014 Dr. Nakamura was named Top Dentist in Be Well Philly, as well as named Doctor's Choice for Media, PA; and in 2015 was named Top Dentist in Main Line Today Magazine.
