Problem solving and decision-making are important skills for business and life. Problem-solving often involves decision-making, and decision-making is especially important for management and leadership but is also important for all team members. Knowing who you are and how you look at problems will help you in your quest in becoming a better problem solver and knowing your team members individually and how they view problem solving will solve the biggest problem you may face in your dental office and that is how to get your team to solve problems in a timely manner. Because people have different personality traits and problems have varying characteristics, having a toolkit of techniques is very useful- there's more than one way to attack a problem. We offer seven steps to aid you, your team and your team members individually in solving problems.

Brent has spent the last 29 years supporting the dental profession. His experience ranges from running his own company to managing multiple dental offices. Because he has had to “pay the bills” he knows and understands the complexities of managing today’s dental practice. And as such pays particular attention to the “numbers” and what they are trying to tell you about your business. Through his company he has consulted with and coached in management, marketing, sales, and advertising. The companies he has worked with range from Real Estate to Pharmaceuticals and of course dental practices. He lectures and conducts seminars on dental team accountability, marketing, and selling. His motivational seminar on creative thinking is always a popular program. Contracting with Practical Solutions he utilizes their S.O.A.R monitoring program to assist the dental team in achieving their goals and move the practice to the levels the dentist envisioned when he or she embarked on their professional journey. With his extensive background in marketing he coaches his clients through the complete process of marketing a dental practice starting with each encounter a patient has with a team member in the dental office. As an author of several continuing education courses he is committed to growth for each team member in the office setting and works with the dental office to establish a training and educational program tailored to their office. Throughout his career Brent has received awards in education, sales performance, cost control and asset management, and employee/management relationships. The Concept Group has a proven track record for building dental networks, providing compliance solutions to dental group practices, and developing educational solutions to practices large and small. In his roll as Senior Consultant Brent works closely with dental offices from single doctor practice to multi-location groups establishing a tailored to their needs online continuing education program. This includes the mandated OSHA, HIIPA and Bloodborne Pathogens compliance certification courses.
