Description

Managers just don't go out and haphazardly perform their responsibilities. Good managers discover how to master what we call “The Six Pillars of Management.” We will take a closer look at Time Management, People Skills, Communication Skills, Team Building, Managing One-On-One Meetings, and Managing the Feedback Model. Not everyone can be a manager. Certain skills, or abilities to translate knowledge into action that results in desired performance, are required to help other employees become more productive. That is why we refer to them as the “Six Pillars of Management.” A manager must have technical skills, human skills, and conceptual skills, each addressed in one of the six pillars. Collaboration (the pooling of resources) and cooperation (working together) among the team creates a better dental practice. Today, more than ever, the dental business climate indicates that the dental practice functions better if resources and knowledge are shared and individuals work together as a team. In this course we discuss proper and effective communication, how better to manage your time; that time away from the chair, help you understand additional people skills and how to help you and you team handle change in the office. We even give you a step by step approach to conducting those dreaded One-On-One meetings.
