Description

This course presents essential information for the dental care practitioners. It explain how to properly screen the patients and prepare the examination and or treatment room as well as the universal precautions of using gloves, masks, gowns and aprons. Additionally, the course describes how the dental staff should perform during dental procedures to prevent needle sticks or laceration. Common infection control procedures and instrument transport, cleaning, packaging, and sterilization as well as biological monitoring are illustrated

on behalf of South Florida Institute for Post-Graduate Health Education

REDA A. ABDEL-FATTAH, BDS, MS, MPS, is a practicing dentist in Boca Raton, FL. He emphasizes evaluation and management of orofacial pain and TMJ disorders. In addition to his dental education, Dr. AbdelFattah completed two master’s degrees. The first is in materials science and engineering with emphasis on biomaterials; the second is in professional studies with a concentration in biomechanical trauma. Named as an expert by plaintiffs and defendants in numerous TMJ injury cases, Dr. Abdel-Fattah is a sought-after lecturer and the author of many articles and books. A member of the Academy since 1987, he is a Fellow ofthe AACP and a Diplomate of the American Board of Craniofacial Pain.
