Description

Taking the first step can be the hardest thing to do when starting something new. I hear from many dentists that they have never done a painless prepless veneer because they were never taught in dental school and are not sure who their first “ideal” candidate should be. I tell them it is always great to start with a friend, family member or even better, a staff member that can be your cosmetic advocate in your practice. Outside of that, a great first case to start with is someone who has completed orthodontia but is still not happy with their smile. Post-ortho patients typically represent someone with a high involvement in their oral health, there is no obscene protrusion; and they want a new shape and look to their smile that orthodontia is not able to correct, and as a result are a great first case to perfect your skills.
Dr. Ibsen’s webinar will focus on the criteria for finding your first patient; the materials needed to get started, and how you too can transform your patient’s smile in only 2 office visits. The featured patient is a 17-year old young woman who was not satisfied with the appearance of her teeth after orthodontia and wanted a more beautiful smile without getting any shots or feeling any pain.

Objectives

1. Learn the beginning fundamentals of performing painless porcelain veneers without the use of anesthesia or the removal of sensitive tooth structure.
After this course, you will be able to do your first case for painless porcelain veneers.
Avoid traumatizing the pulp so patients will never experience sensitivity during or after the procedure.
Removing tooth structure can expose the pulp which will cause pain and promote long term damage that could ultimately lead to a root canal.
Using the advancements in adhesion technology, you can expand your practice by now offering painless procedures that patients want.
If your patients knew they could get a new smile without pain, you would see an increase in treatment acceptance.
