Description

Joplin: A Summary of Veterinarian's Experiences: Based on my own experience and conversations with other veterinary volunteers, I have become aware that most of us have questions about what to expect and what is expected of us when we volunteer. This presentation talks about the experience of volunteers in a disaster in general, the experiences of those veterinarians affected by the Joplin tornado, my experiences as a volunteer following the tornado, experiences shared by other veterinarians who volunteered following the tornado and a summary of what volunteers accomplished in aiding the dogs and cats affected by the tornado.
