Description

The topic will get inside the mind of a surgical oncologist and show what they are thinking.

Veterinary Cancer Society - Dr. Laura Selmic
on behalf of Missouri Veterinary Medical Association

Dr. Laura Selmic received her veterinary degree from The Royal Veterinary College, University of London, in 2004 and practiced throughout the UK until 2006 when she began a rotating small animal medical and surgical internship at the Queen Mother Animal Hospital, University of London. She went on to complete a small animal surgery residency at the Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine. After developing a strong interest in the treatment of cancer, she completed a year-long postdoctoral clinical fellowship in surgical oncology at the Animal Cancer Center at Colorado State University.
Before joining the surgical team at Illinois, Dr. Selmic completed a Master of Public Health degree with a focus in applied biostatistics at the Colorado School of Public Health.
