Participants will learn the importance of engagement and focusing in Motivational Interviewing. Skills and concepts will be reviewed in support of this objective.

Mr Bernard Showers LCSW, MAC

Mr. Showers is currently a licensed clinical social worker working as an outpatient MH and SUD clinician. Bernie is certified as a Master Addiction Counselor (MAC) through NAADAC. In September, 2016 he attended the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers Train-the-Trainer event and is now one of approximately 1,500 MINT Trainers from around the world.

Mr. Showers has provided Motivational Interviewing lectures and trainings to local, regional, and national audiences.
