Good information, I enjoyed watching various samples of how these concussions can happen I would of like to see more cases and application of the management of these concussion and procedure to be applied in children, adults and elderly.

Great review of CPR and Heimlich maneuver. Great introduction to concussion and on-field management of one. Was hoping for a little more time of dealing with splinting, but it is very briefly covered at the end. Overall a great course.

Description

The program focuses on industrial, community, intramural and recreational athletes who sustain sports-related injuries or who are at risk of sustaining an injury. This workshop that combines lecture, demonstration, and hands-on training leading to proficiency in the skills pertinent for the chiropractic sports physician. First aid and emergency procedures for athletes are covered, as well as concussion, its effects, and its possible treatment options.

**First-time CCSP Program registrants: The ACBSP requires this course be initially taken in a LIVE classroom setting; therefore, this online replay will NOT qualify as part of the 100-hour requirement. This course qualifies for renewal hours for licensed CCSP practitioners. Please contact the NUHS Postgrad department with any questions or concerns.

Learn first aid, patient transport, and acute care for emergency situations
Environment for injury
Learn common emergency situations as related to athletes; cardiovascular considerations; environmental injury; extremity trauma
Concussion
Discuss the effects of concussion; head and neck trauma; treatment options and return to sport protocols
