Great topic and info, but delivery of info (poor video and audio quality) and just general presentation made for a lot of work to follow and digest the content.

Description

Bacterial overgrowth of the vast absorptive surface area of the small bowel mucus membrane is the origin of much dysfunction and disease. Endotoxin, hormones and cytokines derived from commensal flora travel the portal highway to the liver. When excessive, endotoxin induces CNS inflammation, promotes neurodegenerative changes and triggers “brain fog”, anxiety and depression. Cirrhosis and hepatic encephalopathy follow a similar pattern when porto-systemic shunts prevent ammonia metabolism– another major SIBO associated disease.
