Professor Malcolm Keif

Malcolm G. Keif is a Professor in the Graphic Communication Department at Cal Poly State University, San Luis Obispo, Calif. Cal Poly is recognized among the leading Universities for print and packaging.
Malcolm oversees instruction in Flexographic plating and press operations at Cal Poly, as well as teaches Quality Management, Printed Electronics, Cost Estimating, Packaging Workflow and Lean Management. With more than 25 years of experience, Malcolm is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and contributor to numerous industry publications.
He is the author of three books: Setup Reduction for Printers, Lean Printing: Pathway to Success, and Designer’s Postpress Companion.
Malcolm received his Ph.D. in 1995 from University of Missouri. In 2004, Malcolm was selected as the Print and Graphics Scholarship Foundation’s Educator of the Year.
