Kidney disease is commonin cats, but it is typically diagnosed late when the disease is in an advanced state. This webinar will focus on early diagnosis of chronic kidney disease (CKD) and the impact that early diagnosis can have on patient management. The key attributes of the IDEXX SDMA Test will be discussed and an overview of how it has been incorporated into the International Renal Interest Society will be provided. A case presentation will highlight how SDMA can help diagnose, stage, and treat a cat with CKD.

Objectives

Objective 1
Learn about chronic kidney disease (CKD) and how to diagnose early CKD.
Objective 2
Know how to review International Renal Interest Society (IRIS) staging and treatment guidelines for chronic kidney disease.
Objective 3

Objective 4
Learn what steps to take when early kidney disease is suspected after observing a case presentation.
Objective 5
Learn how to introduce the muscle condition scoring system and how it complements the body condition scoring system.
