Description

Feline pain management can be frustrating and confusing on many levels including identifying signs of pain and knowing valid treatments options. Michael Petty, DVM, CVPP, DAAPM

Michael Petty is a veterinarian and certified veterinary pain practitioner and acupuncturist. As the owner of the Arbor Pointe Veterinary Hospital and Animal Pain Center in Canton, Michigan, Dr. Petty has devoted his professional life to the care and well-being of animals. He is the past president of the International Veterinary Academy of Pain Management and the co-author of the 2015 American Animal Hospital Association Pain Guidelines. A frequent speaker and consultant, Dr. Petty has also published articles in veterinary journals and elsewhere. He is the author of Dr. Petty’s Pain Relief for Dogs, published by Countryman Press, a division of W. W. Norton, on February 1, 2016.
