Description

Module 9 of Kidney School explains the special nutrition and fluid needs of people on dialysis and the challenges of following dietary guidelines. This module offers suggestions for getting the right amounts of nutrients, planning healthy meals, and eating out. Vitamins, supplements, as well as phosphate binders and their connection to renal bone disease are also discussed.

The purpose of Kidney School Continuing Education courses is to enable the learner to better understand the medical and psychosocial impacts of end stage renal disease, as well as patients’ experience of coping with this chronic condition.
