Description

The restorative obstacles presented by Kennedy Class I and II cases can be overcome by utilizing an occlusal verification jig and implant verification jig. These tools can be fabricated using materials and components that are relatively common to the offices of dentists restoring implants. By taking these extra steps, clinicians can capture an accurate bite registration and final impression, resulting in well-fitting implant crowns despite challenging circumstances.

Objectives

Objectives
For cases in which implant treatment is indicated to replace two or more adjacent teeth at the distal extension of the arch, capturing an accurate final impression and bite registration presents challenges. This can hinder the restorative process by making it difficult to properly articulate the dental casts and design the implant crowns.
