Description

This is the first module in a 4 part series of recorded webinars conducted after the 2015 International Association of Dental Research Meeting in Boston, Massachusetts. This conference was convened to inform attendees about the range for both high fluoride and boosters with a focus on high-risk populations.

Dr. Mascarenhas received the B.D.S. in 1985 from the Goa Dental College and Hospital, Goa, India.  She received the M.P.H. in 1992 and the Dr.P.H. in 1995, from the University of Michigan School of Public Health.  She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Public Health.   Dr. Mascarenhas is Past President of the American Association for Public Health Dentistry, Director of the American Board of Dental Public Health, and in 2012 started her term as Commissioner, Commission on Dental Accreditation. Dr. Mascarenhas’s primary areas of research interest are in access to care, oral epidemiology and health services research and  has been the principal investigator on several grants, and is currently principal investigator on a HRSA grant to develop competencies and curriculum for dental and dental hygiene students in dental public health, and on a School Oral Health Initiative by the Children’s Trust of Miami. Dr. Mascarenhas is a reviewer and on the editorial boards of several journals. Dr. Mascarenhas has taught extensively and published over 50 papers and presented nationally and internationally.He is Vice Dean at the Department of Odontology, University of Copenhagen, Denmark.
