Dr. Troy McGrew DDS, MS is a native of West Virginia and attended the West Virginia University School of Dentistry for both dental school and post-graduate endodontic residency, receiving his DDS degree in 1995 and his Masters degree in endodontics in 1997. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics and is in private practice in Charleston, South Carolina. Dr. McGrew is an adjunct clinical professor at the West Virginia University School of Dentistry Department of Endodontics where he teaches dental students and postdoctoral residents various endodontic techniques in the clinical and didactic settings. Dr. McGrew is also an associate professor with the Marshall University School of Medicine where he provides consultation on treatment matters and instructs internal medicine residents in dental emergency case management. He is one of the only Board Certified endodontists in the Lowcountry, which is the highest academic and clinical honor that can be achieved in the specialty. He is also a specialty member of the American Association of Endodontists, the American Dental Association, and the South Carolina Dental Association.
