Description

This webinar will cover the practical aspects and procedure of how to successfully sharpen a range of periodontal instruments to maintain optimal performance. Participants will be able to recognise when instruments need sharpening as well as identify appropriate angulation for consistent outcomes. This presentation is relevant for all members of the dental team to update and improve our clinical practice of instrument maintenance.

Alison Grant qualified as a Dental Hygienist from Bristol Dental Hospital in 1987. She has gained a wide variety of experience in NHS & private practice and worked as a staff hygienist in the hospital setting treating patients with special needs and advanced periodontal disease. In 2008, she received the national award ‘DCP Teacher of the Year’. Alison currently is a tutor for the School for Dental Care Professionals at Bristol Dental Hospital, works in specialist periodontal practice and regularly lectures with the South West Dental Postgraduate Department providing continuing professional development for members of the Dental Team.
