Description

This course will review basic principles of pediatric dental behavior management. Specific behavior management techniques, such as vocabulary, positioning techniques, special approaches and equipment will be presented. As well, the roles of the dentist, office staff, and parents will be discussed. Common pit falls and errors will be identified and solutions presented. Upon completion of this course the clinician should have a general understanding of how to deal with most pediatric dental patients.

Doron KochmanDr. Kochman is a board certified pediatric dentist. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Kochman received his dental degree from McGill University in Montreal, Canada following which he completed his specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry at the Eastman Dental Center in Rochester, New York. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry and at the Eastman Institute for Oral Health.Dr. Kochman is the founder of Pittsford Pediatric Dentistry where he is in private pediatric dental practice. He is a member of numerous professional organizations and has published articles on various subjects related to pediatric dentistry. He reaches pediatric dentistry topostgraduate pediatric dental residents and to postgraduate general dentistry residents at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry and Eastman Institute for Oral Health.
