Description

During this CE webinar, we will cover the indications for fluoride gel treatment, and what triggers “medical necessity” for fluoride treatment. While many patients can benefit from fluoride treatment, medical billing does not apply to every scenario. Dentists, and sales representatives will need to understand what triggers necessity, and how to navigate the world of co-pays and deductibles in order to successfully treatment plan towards a medical insurance covered claim. Once we have determined who is a good candidate, we will learn how to properly use each product and the basic options for submitting a claim. In addition, we will discuss the potential revenue associated with medical billing and how this benefits the patient and the practice.

Objectives

Jennifer has 16 years of experience in the dental field. Her many roles within in the industry has given her a clear understanding of denitstry, and the challenges of running an office within it. Jennifer's insight into the daily struggles of managing a dental practice, combined with the challenges of industry itself, left a burning question of how to improve a broken system.Starting with her previous experiences in the veterinary and medical industries, Jennifer began to research for some answers outside of the dental status quo. Combining a common corporate medical structure, veterinary “one-stop” protocols, and dental procedures led to a great new model for the dental practice. Shortly after a volunteer weekend, Jennifer began searching for a solution to the biggest barriers in our industry- Affordable healthcare, access to services, and the adoption of universal protocols. Finding a better way for practitioner, AND patient soon became her obsession. Her solution was simple, get the dental industry to accept and adopt medical "best practices" for record keeping, billing, and management structure. And get the industry to adopt point-of-care services by bringing the diagnostics and restorative labs on-site. However, this process, and the laws associated proved to be complicated, confusing and time consuming. As a preparation path to simplify this process began to develop, Serapis Management LLC was formed.Soon a business was created to assist dentists with adopting, practicing and thriving in a Comprehensive Oral HealthCare practice. Serapis Management LLC, was structured to be a true partner to the dental professional offering all non-clinical services including administrative support, billing services, CLIA registration and compliance, marketing and advertising services, Electronic Health Records adoption, and full dental laboratory services! We handle the practice so a dentist can practice.
