Description

The dental professionals are recognizing a changing philosophy in practice for preventing dental caries, reversing enamel lesions and minimizing enamel degradation with the use of combination fluoride and calcium phosphate therapies. Recent research reflects great success in integrating ACP to promote fluoride uptake in individuals with compromising oral health risks.

This program will highlight specific cases that pose the greatest risk for caries and demonstrate the application of a risk assessment (CAMBRA) to design an appropriate prevention and maintenance plan.

Lillian Caperila, R.D.H., M.Ed.

Lil Caperila is a professional lecturer who has delivered well over 400 seminars throughout North America and the international market since 2000. Her career has included roles in clinical dental assisting and dental hygiene, faculty positions in dental hygiene education, guest and professional lecturer and held leadership roles in her state and local hygiene associations. Lil is the 2010 recipient of the ADHA Irene Newman Award for Professional Achievement. She is currently employed with Premier Dental Products Company in Plymouth Meeting – Pennsylvania, as manager of professional education and corporate relations.
