Description

The purpose of this course is to further awareness of the importance of freeway space dynamics and related science and observation as they relate to treatment options for the signs and symptoms of Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction (TMJ/D).

Objectives

Objectives
Upon completion of this course, participant will be able to:Understand the importance for the patient, most specifically the TMJ/D and parafunctioning patient, to experience the “rest open” position while complying with a dental bite device.Address the importance of occlusion and disclusion within the freeway space.Realize and understand the need for a new approach in identifying and treating TMJ/D to bring relief to the patient as quickly as possible.Understand the need to immediately diagnose and treat a patient with a device that will relieve pain, discomfort and parafunction within the TMJ neuromuscular system.Observe the characteristics of a minimally invasive and reversible occlusal device to increase efficacy and bring relief to the TMJ/D patient population.
