Description

This module examines the risk of thrombosis from atrial fibrillation (AF) versus the risk of bleeding from anticoagulation. The five oral anticoagulants available are discussed in detail with regard to licensed indications, dosage and dosage adjustments, side effects and contra-indications. The role of antiplatelet therapy in AF is also discussed.
