Description

This case-based course will review several common (and some not so common) anterior segment conditions that can present to the optometrist, from eyelids to anterior chamber. The course will cover diagnostic tools to aid clinicians and review management of the conditions covered, including new therapeutics and advancements. When applicable, the course will also review appropriate timeline for systemic and/or ophthalmologic specialty referrals.

Outline important diagnostic tools to help aid the clinician in diagnoses of the anterior segment

b) Oral therapeutics
c) Referral patterns

Christina Morettin, OD

Dr. Morettin completed her undergraduate education at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario in the Concurrent Education program while earning her Bachelor of Science with Honors. She completed her Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of Waterloo in Waterloo, Ontario and pursued a residency in Primary Care and Ocular Disease at the Illinois College of Optometry.

Dr. Morettin spends her time in clinical education. She works with second, third and fourth year students and residents in the Primary Care, Advanced Care and Urgent Care services in their clinical rotations.
