Description

Depression is a common mental health condition in which severe and persistent symptoms can lead to suicidal ideation. Timely recognition of depression is essential to improve patients’ mental health and quality of life. This learning module outlines strategies to manage depression in primary care. It is anticipated that after completing this module nurses will feel more confident in screening and treating patients with this debilitating condition.
