I loved the course. . .but the evaluation questions need some instruction. It should say something like:
" Congratulations on Completing Introduction to Embodied Awareness: Introduction to Spiritually Directed Therapy!
Using the scale, please place the appropriate number after each statement to indicate the degree to which you agree or disagree with the statement. (5) means you Strongly Agree and (1) means you Strongly Disagree

Course Availability

Description

This integrative counselling certification program trains you to identify and apply cross-cultural Self-care practices. Course numbers 1-5 provide case-studies terminology and applied theoretical foundations to support experiential online learning. Courses 6-10 offers practical exercises and examples needed to conceptualize, understand and apply the practice of Embodied Awareness personally and professionally.
A certificate of completion from the Canadian Institute for Transpersonal and Integrative Sciences is awarded after the successful completion of all ten module exams, or the 30 question exam AT THE END of Course 11. Continuing Education (CE) credits for each module, separately, are available through the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association CCPA.

Take each course separately or as a package of 10. Completion of all 10 programs awards a Certificate of Completion from the Canadian Institute for Transpersonal and Integrative Sciences.

Objectives

Upon completion of this course, the student should be able to:
Objective 1:
Define post-traumatic growth (PTG) and trauma induced spiritual awakenings
Objective 2:
Give examples of cross-culturally sensitive tools and techniques to convert trauma reactions into post-traumatic growth (PTG) for individual emotional healing and community renewal
Objective 3:
Discuss biological, psychological, social, collective and spiritual conditions that may trigger the human stress response, existential ego-death or traumatic reactions
Objective 4:
Discuss biological, psychological, social, collective and spiritual conditions that may trigger the human stress response, existential ego-death or traumatic reactions
Objective 5:
Identify and contrast integrative Self-care practices with spiritual by-pass and barriers to integrating spiritual awakening or PTG

Beth Hedva, Ph.D., former faculty in the Department of Clinical Psychology, Antioch University, and Adjunct Research Faculty in Sofia University's Global Program, is currently the Director of Counseling and Training at the Canadian Institute for Transpersonal and Integrative Sciences (CITIS). Nominated for inclusion in the 1st edition of the Marquis Who’s Who in Medicine & Health Care, and past member of the Board of Directors of the International Council of Psychologists, Hedva's evidence based Spiritually Directed Therapy Protocol for Recovery from Trauma® brought her invitations to present her work at the United Nation, and you will find her in the American Biographic Institute’s 2009 Hall of Fame for “Humanitarian Contributions in Cross-Cultural Psychology”
