Description

Introduction: There is an old, and for many people, an irritating adage that says Don't work harder; work smarter. And on hearing that you might think that you're already working as hard and as smart as is possible. In managing your optical dispensary, you certainly might be working hard. But if you're not doing some in-office edging you're likely not working as smart as you could in these challenging economic times, especially given the influence of third-party vision plans and highly visible retail optical chains. In-office edging is a proven profit-builder. Even if you don't want to edge new, expensive types of lenses, edging single vision lenses still makes financial sense.

Objectives

Objectives
Upon completion of this course, the participant should be able to: understand why in-house edging can increase patient satisfaction; recognize how in-house edging can decrease your cost of goods sold and increase your profit margins; know different logistical requirements and equipment availabilities for an in-house finishing lab; determine if In-House edging is right for you and your practice.
