In this presentation, we'll cover the 5 W's (and the H) -- the Who, What, When, Where, Why and How of Facebook use for the veterinary practice. This will be an introductory course/basic review of Facebook usage. It will include numerous real-life clinic examples, user demographics and tips to make Facebook work effectively and efficiently for your practice.

We'll show how you can access your specific page's insights in order to determine when your clients are most likely online, and therefore "prime time" for posting.

We'll discuss the key benefits and opportunities Facebook use can bring to your practice.

Dr Caitlin DeWilde DVM

Dr. Caitlin DeWilde is a practicing veterinarian and founder of The Social DVM, a small consulting firm devoted to helping veterinary practices manage and grow their social media and online reputation. She has partnered with small and large animal veterinary practices, national industry groups, non-profit organizations, and individual veterinarians to create practical yet creative strategies to succeed online and in practice.
She is a graduate of the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine, where she was the president of the Veterinary Business Management Association. Dr. DeWilde is also an alum of the AVMA's Future Leaders Project, as one of ten members of the 2014-2015 class. She has also taken an active role in organized veterinary medicine, and recently completed her term as President of the Greater St. Louis Veterinary Medical Association. She practices small animal medicine at Brentwood Animal Hospital in the St. Louis, MO area. In her free time, she enjoys travel, photography, and of course, the many hilarious corgi and cat-related memes on social media.
