Description

Do you have a capnograph in your practice? Do you use it? Capnography can be such a valuable tool in clinical practice. In this presentation we start with a basic reminder of some terminology and then have a physiology refresher looking at the different factors that influence how much carbon dioxide is detected and what determines the relationship between end-tidal and arterial carbon dioxide. We discuss the normal capnograpm and indications for the use of this monitoring technique before finishing with examples of some common abnormal capnograph waveforms. The presentation is accompanied by course notes which include additional detail.

Objectives
