Description

This module covers the different kinds of guidelines and blood tests used in screening for and diagnosing of the main types of DM, and lists the dozens of different codes and sub-codes related to DM. The module then details, once DM has been diagnosed, how CMs can assess the patient’s level of self care, as well as risk factors for complications and psychosocial health. The module also covers acute complications— such as severe hypo- and hyperglycemia, macrovascular disease, diabetic eye disease and neuropathy.
