Description

The Certificate of Health IT Proficiency in Sales (CHTPS) course gives sales professionals a specialty level understanding of Developments in HIT and covers Understanding Compliance, Identifying Best IT Infrastructure, HIT Acronyms, Consultative Approach to Healthcare Sales, Target Markets and Go To Market Strategies in Health IT, Organizational Challenges in Healthcare Sales, Emerging Sales Models in Health IT and basic Healthcare Structures.

Objectives

Upon completion of the course, the student should be able to:
*Describe important developments in HIT, including the creation of the ONC and passage of the HITECH Act.
*Demonstrate working knowledge of MACRA, and how it changed Medicare reimbursement through the MIPS and APM programs.
*Identify the pros and cons of different HIT infrastructure solutions for various healthcare environments.
*Demonstrate fluency with core HIT acronyms and recognition of the corresponding technologies, laws, and organizations.
*Model a consultative approach to healthcare sales, based on the "trusted adviser" approach to sales.
*Describe the major target markets in healthcare and appropriate go-to-market strategies for each.
*Explain how organization complexity in healthcare can pose challenges to sales.
*Identify emerging sales models in health IT, especially the move into cloud-based and subscription services.
