Description

The symptoms of frontotemporal disorders are devastating and gradually rob people of basic abilities such as thinking, talking, walking, and socializing. This CEU course explains what is known about the different types of disorders and how they are diagnosed. Most importantly, it describes how to treat and manage these difficult conditions, with practical advice for nurses.

Objectives

On completion of this course, the learner will be able to:

2. Investigate which medical test can be used to diagnose a frontotemporal disorder.

3. Compare and contrast the different types of primary progressive aphasia.

4. Identify the gene in which inheriting a mutation of means a person will almost surely develop a frontotemporal disorder.

5. Describe the early symptoms of the three types of frontotemporal disorders.
