Van G. Miller & Associates, founded by the late Van Miller in 1986, was a group purchasing organization for home medical equipment (HME) providers. Having run his own successful respiratory business, Van recognized the need for a national buying group for independent medical equipment providers. Today VGM & Associates, a division of VGM Group, Inc., is the nation’s largest member service organization, providing discounted access to many of the services listed above in addition to other services that are unique to the HME industry.

Van, being a true entrepreneur and risk taker, then allowed the business to grow into new directions, moving into more health care markets as well as other industries. Today, VGM businesses play a significant role in the home medical equipment, orthotic and prosthetic (O&P), managed care, insurance, golf and restaurant industries.
