Description

In every planet, there is an oil that is "essential" to that planet. These oils can be removed from the plants and used in many ways.

Each essential oil has it's own unique smell and effect on a person's body. When people use an essential oil to get their bodies to respond in a certain way, it is called aromatherapy.

Objectives

On completion of this course, the learner will be able to:
1. Identify at least one healthcare facility where essential oils are being integrated into patient care

2. Discuss the benefits and precautions when helping family members use essential oils for patient care and comfort

3. Describe at least two strategies for obtaining administrative support to use essential oils for patient care
