Description

Conflict is no respecter of persons, and it rears its head at work, at home, and pretty much any place where two or more people spend time together. Conflict is unavoidable. Since conflict is here and not going anywhere, it’s paramount that we understand it and institute principles and practices to ensure we resolve conflict effectively.

In this course, you will learn that success isn’t necessarily about accomplishments but about relationships. Having healthy relationships with coworkers, patients, and clients is as important as facts, issues, and being up-to-date on the latest advancements and research. Preserving and maintaining healthy relationships professionally and personally should be our focus as healthcare providers.Additionally, the inability to effectively resolve conflict can fuel burnout, bring lawsuits, and cause errors that can compromise safety. You will also learn that seeking to understand the needs of another individual is an important first step toward resolving conflict. Though confrontation is frightening, it is best to face it because effective conflict resolutions leads to adjustment, commitment toward good outcomes, and achievement of goals. In this course, you will learn the foundational principles needed to resolve conflict effectively.
