Description

Reviews the medicinal use of cannabis, introduces the endocannabinoid system, addresses myths, outlines therapeutic indications, and spells out dosages and routes of administration. This course addresses public policy and legal issues as use of medicinal cannabis becomes legal in a growing number of states throughout the United States.

Mary Lynn Mathre, RN, MSN, CARN
on behalf of ATrain Education

Mary Lynn (ML) Mathre earned a BSN from the College of St. Teresa in Winona, Minnesota, and a Master's degree from Case Western Reserve University. She is a Certified Addictions RN through the International Nurses Society on Addictions. Mary Lynn began her career in the U.S. Navy Nurse Corps as a medical-surgical specialist. Having earned her Master's degree, Mary Lynn began teaching at the University of Virginia School of Nursing but changed her focus to addictions nursing and returned to clinical practice. She first worked on the Addictions Treatment Unit at UVA, then as the addictions consult nurse for the UVA Health System, and from 2004 to 2007 she was executive director of an opioid treatment program in Charlottesville
