Description

The purpose of this webinar is to discuss the concepts of reasonable accommodations to meet the educational needs of students. The discussion will focus on policy development and implementation regarding identification of essential functions required for success and requests for reasonable accommodations. The public expects academia to provide students access to education and academia needs to provide an opportunity for students with disabilities to meet academic competencies without compromising the essence of the program. Dr. Anne Brett has climbed the career ladder in higher education. Her 30-year teaching career has spanned the educational continuum in nursing from entry level to doctoral programs. She has been a Nursing Program Director, Dean of Nursing, Executive Dean of Health Sciences and Public Services and most recently Dr. Brett was President/CEO of Cox College in Springfield, MO.
