Description

Faculty strives to create a learning experience that stimulates discussion and active learning while maintaining a respectful and safe environment. However, many faculty express frustration with the inappropriate or disruptive student behavior they encounter. Sometimes student behavior can be traced back to students’ perceptions that faculty act arbitrarily with motives that are not to be trusted. As the nursing faculty begins to more assertively address student misbehavior, we must take measured steps to rebuild the trust of our students. This webinar will provide faculty small, yet powerful, strategies to develop a healthy and productive learning environment. Preventing Incivility Objectives Discuss factors that can erode trust and behavior in nursing education settings. Identify three strategies to cultivate a healthy and productive learning environment.
